That’s when he realized it was time to address an imbalance in his own – around his finances – and “practice what he preaches” by finding a financial coach.
“I was afraid to admit I had any issues” with money, he said. “I started looking for a financial coach because I was sick of my financial issues and my money problems.”
Julian was making decent money, but was frustrated with living paycheck to paycheck, and he didn’t know where his money was going each week. Talking to Suzanne on their first financial coaching call made Julian realize he wasn’t alone – and that he was capable of managing money.
Suzanne was warm and positive on the first call and explained the financial coaching process. Julian realized his finances wasn’t something he could improve, but he would improve.
Julian made immediate changes, including putting $2,500 into savings and creating a plan to eliminate his debt – even identifying the date he would become debt-free next summer.
“It was really empowering,” he said.
During financial coaching calls, Suzanne analyzed his finances and shared financial lessons in bite-sized pieces that were “easy to digest” – yet drove powerful results.
Julian believes everyone could benefit from financial coaching, even if money isn’t a “huge problem” because a small change can add up to a big difference over time – a key concept to build wealth.
“Anybody can learn from Suzanne,” he said. “It doesn’t matter if you’re starting from scratch or if you’ve been building wealth for years and years.”
